Volunteering
Volunteering is a commitment that generates real value for everyone involved. It is a great way to give back to your community and to make new friends and connections.
There are many different volunteer opportunities to consider. You can volunteer with a local charity, donate time to a local community group or settlement organization such as the New Brunswick Multicultural Council, or consider coaching a sports team.
If you would like to share your time with community-based organizations supporting our province’s youth, there are lots of options. Among the many organizations are ones such as Junior Achievement, FredKid.com, P.R.O. Kids of Saint John and P.R.O. Kids Dieppe.
There are also groups for young professionals and emerging entrepreneurs including organizations like Fusion Saint John, and local enterprise agencies. If you are a young person and want to get involved and shake things up in your community, there are great opportunities to explore. The Atlantic Co-operative Youth Leadership, Junior Chamber International, Fédération des jeunes francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick Inc. (French website only), and 21 Inc. are just a few examples. Check out what is available in your community!
Another interesting volunteer opportunity available in New Brunswick is the chance to serve on one of the province’s agencies, boards or commissions.
